House Plants

For my birthday this year my in-laws gave me a beautiful house plant.  I had really been wanting something to nurture other than my dear husband.... so it is perfect.

It is called Guzmania.  I love that plants give you an opportunity to nurture and water them.  They look beautiful and some even help to keep your home smelling fresh.  Here's a few more reasons why I love live house plants:

Honestly... this is the first plant that I am solely in charge of and so far it still lives.  We will see how long I can keep this up.  And on a side note: I really want a goldfish.
